How do you prevent etching and stains in food-service areas?
In food-service areas, acidic spills such as pickle juice, lemon juice, vinegar, tomato sauce, or other food liquids should be cleaned up immediately to help prevent etching and staining. Applying the appropriate penetrating sealer can provide added resistance to moisture, acids, and other reactive spills, while regular cleaning helps protect the floor’s appearance and durability.
Are there instructions to follow after my carpets are cleaned?
Immediately after cleaning, it’s best to allow carpets to dry for 6-8 hours before walking on them. Walking on them may flatten the fibers. Use air movers if needed to help air circulation as this will speed up the drying time. If a carpet protector such as ScotchgardTM was applied, foot traffic should be minimized for up to 24 hours to let the product cure. Don’t move any furniture back in place until carpet is completely dry or the Scotchgard carpet protector has cured.
When will I be able to use my furniture after a professional cleaning?
Depending on the cleaning method we use, drying time differs. The average drying time is anywhere from 1 to 6 hours.
